RiverPointe Baptist Church held their first worship service on October 3, 1999 at the Holiday Inn in Conroe, Texas. The Rev. Charles Dooley brought the message. On October 14, 1999, the church voted unanimously to adopt the new Church Constitution. With this vote, RiverPointe became a duly constituted church. The church met weekly at the Holiday Inn for services on Sunday morning and evening.
In February 2000, the church voted to adopt the following statements:
RiverPointe Baptist Church is a body of Christian believers united in faith and practice in the mission of sharing our faith in Jesus Christ with our City, our State, our Nation and our World.
That every member of RiverPointe Baptist Church will have an individual ministry with 1st century Christianity as its model.
On January 10, 2001, RiverPointe purchased 6.9 acres of land on Gladstell Road with the hope of building a church on the site. Prior to building, the church decided to move its Sunday and Wednesday services to the YMCA in order to enhance their visibility and outreach within the community. Services at the YMCA began on March 4, 2001.
In August 2002, the church poured the concrete foundation of the church building on Gladstell Road. Volunteer Christian Builders erected the building.
RiverPointe conducted their first worship service at the Gladstell location on December 1, 2002 dedicating the building on January 12, 2003.
